Let's Buy a Car!

Using  KBB.com

1.  Select Car Values (Pre  Owned ) Find a pre owned vehicle that is of interest to you using the "What Should I Pay for a Used Vehicle" green button  . Find the year, make, &  model, that you would want. You will then be asked some other questions regarding the options you would want on the vehicle. Do this and you will be given a price that you would expect to pay either at a Dealership or from a private party selling the vehicle. Write down the information on the vehicle and the price.

2. Now select "New Car Pricing" and find a second vehicle that is of interest to you. Find its price.

3. Now that you have pricing on two vehicles, still on KBB.com using the "Research Tools" button select " Calculate Payments."

Use the following assumptions to find the cost to finance the car.

60 month loan
4% interest
0 Down and 0 Trade in Value.

Input the price for the used vehicle first and record the monthly payment. Then input the price for the new vehicle and record the price of the monthly payment. Remember both of the monthly payments are for a period of 5 years.

Tuesday May 1, 2012 May Day

I would like you to make a resume for yourself.  Try using   Resume Builder Website      to make the resume.  I like this site because it gives you tips on what to say at each section A drawback is that it is probably better used for people who have had a couple of jobs, but we can still use it.  Unfortunately it costs money to print, so I am asking you to copy what you put down and put it on to a Microsoft 'Word' Document.  Then print out resume for credit for today's work.  Should you have any questions during the creation of the resume please do not hesitate to contact me. Note. If you have no prior work experience leave the section blank and provide more information about your wants and desires for the job or a job that you might want.  Provide insight as to why you might be good at some job, such as dependable, outgoing, etc..... Another option for this assignment is simply going to Microsoft 'Word' or Mac 'Pages' and using the Resume Template to create a resume. Due on Friday

Upcoming Project:

You will be asked to evaluate a piece of software called Bridgebuilder.  You are to download the software on to your computer. Your goal will be to build  a bridge. The class contest will be who can build the strongest bridge for the least amount of money at the highest level.

Congratulation to Chris Rice in Period 3. During the period he successfully completed 11 levels of bridgebuilder to take first place in the contest!
